What Happened to 2022?

We could say that RFT 2021 was the year of ZOOM interviews but how might 2022 be described … I would have to say - QUIET. Recently, I reviewed the website and was astonished (and a bit ashamed) that I took such a long pause on posting. Well, that made me contemplate on some terrific highlights connected to 2022.

COVID With thanks and gratitude to brilliant scientists and a political administration built on both logic and compassion (for all) vaccines and boosters have armed our bodies against the horrors of the covid pandemic. While not completely over, I think we can all shout an … AMEN!

RETIREMENT For many of us 2022 was the year of retirement. Tom, Teresa, David and Paul (wrapping up the year) experienced life unhinged from WORK. Hmmmm, life of a Ringwood Retiree, now that sounds like an RFT blog!

RINGWOOD PARTY Mike and Terri hosted a summer party at their beautiful home on Lake Ontario - it was the launch of summer fun. With the perfect setting, ideal weather, and all my favorite people in the world we enjoyed great food, listened to music, played games, swam but most importantly HUGGED and TALKED and HUGGED some more. The absence of these gatherings has been significant, and the return marked a sense of Ringwood normal - a great big gathering!

The Family GROWS … Ben & Marissa, Caitlin and Chris, Mitch and Natalie - cousins become “couples” and oh that LOVE is wonderful. If my facts are right, one little one will arrive in 2022 - prayers for Sarah!

It’s NOT Over … The year is not done. As we move towards the end of 2022, I will ask all of you to send me some photos that highlight your 2022. We will let the photographs tell the story of this year. Forgive me if I have forgotten an important 2022 event. (NOTE: Please send around 10 photographs as attachments to my email - teresahoercher@gmail.com)
