I have been thinking about this post for quite some time. Thoughts have been bubbling in my head and postcards have been sent to all the “independent cousins” hinting that they were going to be the focus of my next (more in-depth RFT blog. This posting is just a teaser …

Dear Nieces and Nephews: Who are you? Your birth was marked with joy. Yearly Christmas photo-cards and school pictures showcased your growth. We loved watching you navigate challenges and accomplishments during your K-12 years. Religious celebrations honored your role in the community of faith. It was a BLINK between birth and high school graduation. And now I am left wondering … who are you?

*Over the course of the next couple of months I hope to be gathering feedback from the cousins. I am curious about their adult “selves” and gain a better understanding of their WORK / FUN balance of life. I am curious about their jobs/careers … hobbies/recreation. I want to know what fuels their hearts and what fuels their heads! I think that this will be fun. No doubt, some are deep into careers, some just starting, and some might even work to live - with more emphasis on the living!!
