LAUNCH - 2023!

So, what am I aware of now? LAUNCH!  While several of us have “launched” into the retirement phase of our lives I feel compelled to launch RFT in a new direction for 2023; I am excited!  Ringwood Family Tree 2023 will focus on the NEXT GENERATION, 30 cousins plus partners, spouses, and children. It is time to shine the light on all oh-so-wonderful them!  

I have been thinking a lot about this for the past year. Last summer I sent postcards to all the cousins sharing my hope to focus RFT on their generation.  My postcard said something like “Who are You?”   It seems to me that I was fully aware of all the nieces and nephews (thank goodness for the regular July 4th and Christmas family parties), awaiting their arrival, baptisms, birthdays, First Communion, Confirmation, graduations and off to college … and then??????  In the postcard I told them that I was curious about what fueled them NOW professionally and personally; I told them I am hungry to know their adult selves. This group – triple the original 10, all so unique, special, and loved.  This is going to be lots of FUN!

It will be a work in progress. There won’t be an essay from each cousin, but rather a combination of their collective thoughts. We may discover different perspectives on work/life balance – live to work and work to live.  I am curious about what grounds them perhaps in a spiritual way, the survival of our planet, parenting, and their hopes for the future!  It is time to “hear” their voices!
