Greeting from the Editor

For a long time now it’s been a great problem to me to know how to keep in touch on a regular basis.  With all the busy schedules, ten letters is too much for anyone so in the hope that this format will keep us all up to date, let’s give it a try.  I promise it won’t replace an occasional phone call. Let me know what you think.

New Addresses & Phones

I talked with Teresa on Saturday. She seem really enthusiastic about her new job.  I also talked with Pete. School is good. His golf has been a little disappointing but that’s not the first priority.  Mike called last week too. He’s really busy – expected to be up near Potsdam on business this week and thought he might see Pete.  Paul, how are you? I haven’t talked with you in ages. Nancy, Kelly and Patrick came for dinner one night last week. They’re all fine.  Nancy really has a busy schedule with her job and the kids’ activities. Patty and David have a big weekend. They’re having houseguests from the NYC area with their two children.  David pops in most every Sunday. He seems to be very conscientious about his teaching. I rarely can convince him to stay for dinner. And he is also helping with freshman football.  And, Bob’s picture speaks for itself. Bob is just fine.

The bad news is I’ve been sick with my annual September cold. The good news is that I’m better now and back to work.  The weather is beautiful. I hate wasting it on not feeling well. I went to Martha Cuddy’s wedding Sat. It was very nice – a military wedding with crossed swords etc. Someone said the ceiling at Holy Family probably fell in.  It’s probably the first Cuddy event ever held outside of Holy Family. Yesterday I went to a 40th reunion of St. Mary’s school – mass at St. Mary’s then brunch at the Holiday Inn.  It was very nice. Bishop Hickey came and the first nun who ever taught me was there.  After it was over, I realized that one other man and I were the only two people there who were fortunate enough to have attended college.  In fact one of my classmates told me it was the first reunion she ever attend because she never finished high school. It made me realize how fortunate I have been.

Please take care of one another.  God bless you all.

Love,

Mom

PS  Say a special prayer for Dad on the 30th.  He would be 57.
