Dear Nancy, Patty, David Sheridan,Tom, Jack Ceecy, Teresa, Paul, David, Peter, and Bob:

Next time I write a letter addressed to all, I will begin with Bob... just to switch things up. So our 2018 golf outing has concluded. We begin work on the 2019 adventure. I so look forward to receiving photos taken by Patty and Teresa perhaps compiled in an Animoto video! For now I'd like to reminisce, in part to share, and in part to lock these memories... Vividly.

Peter. We missed you. David Sheridan stepped in and performed beautifully. He did you proud. He did all of us proud. 11th hole Sunday backside scramble. David Sheridan is on the tee, working his waggle towards the swing.  Mischievous Bob waiting and watching announces “time's up” a representative example of the good-natured ribbing delivered with love.

Patty and Teresa. Proud team captains. Except for being informed that the grown-ups had won, I will be surprised were they to know, who played and who won / lost their matches each day.  Yet there they were, strolling side-by-side down each fairway. I watched. They talked and talked. My plan in 2019 is to walk with them and listen

May I say, what a wonderful and long overdue decision, to make the weekend a gathering of ten.

Teresa and Bill. Thank you for hosting dinner on Saturday. Kids playing in the yard. Colin watching and caring for the little kids. Abby and Zoe working the makeup. Sitting around the original dining room table... stories revered related so naturally. Terry McGraw just could not believe the scope and breath of family love and respect on display.

May I thank you Tom for the Saturday green fees. Your course was in great shape. I was proud to be your teammate on the first 9. Loved your up and down par on #8. Had my only birdie that day on #9.

Nancy may I thank you for the Sunday green fees. We played Saturday on the back nine. I brain farted us on 13, 14, 15 and 16 ensuring our loss. I promise to play better in 2019.

Jack. We teamed up together as we separately battled opponents David Sheridan and Paul. Your flip chip on #4 for gimme par - perfect. Your iron into the green on # 5, drawing perfectly on the green - sweet. The third shot chip on # 9 another gimme par - great touch.

How special was it to see and enjoy Ceecy’s company. How magical was it that her beautiful mother joined us this year.

May I leave you all with a remark and observation, voiced by Jack to me, as we moved down the 7th fairway. We were commenting about the magic and good fortune of this family. Not a jealous bone between any of us, joyous whenever in each other's company. “That is the great bounty left to us by Mom and Dad.”

Mike
