CONGRATULATIONS!

  1. To the TOM RINGWOODs for the safe and healthy delivery of Mark.  He is a beautiful baby. Bob and I went to see him at home last Sunday and I had a chance to rock him.  Tom and Erin seem quite pleased with their new baby brother.

  2. To PATTY and TERESA for the Rochester Connection of the Ringwood Review.  It was such fun to read another version and very professional (note the longhand).  How about it? Can we expect to hear from the Auburn, Syracuse, Skaneateles, Philadelphia, Potsdam Connections?

WHAT’S BEEN HAPPENING?

The Sheridans came for dinner last Sunday.  It really was a nice day (not the weather but the day in general).  Paul has been busy job hunting. He feels he’s close to a nob ow I I won’t comment.  I will let him spread the good news when it is definite. In the meantime he’ done so much for me, I will always be grateful.  Tomorrow he and Bob are headed to Kingston in a truck to pick up Paul's furniture, etc. We had a nice letter from Pete this week.  He has three interviews with good companies so I’ll be calling him over the weekend to see how it went. Kelly’s Pop Warner cheerleaders took 1st place in the annual tournament in Syracuse.  Jack and Ceecy have a new car - Honda Accord.

CHRISTMAS CONFESSION

Every year around this time I put in writing my game plan.  This year after much pondering, I’ve reached an unpopular decision (unpopular with myself).  The fact is, I ‘ve lived beyond my means this year and common sense tells me it’s time to play catch up.  So, with all of the grandchildren there will be very small gifts. I’ll let the married couples exchange gifts with one another and I’ll limit my gift giving to Paul, Pete and Bob.  Now please dont panic. I am not ready for welfare to anything like it. I’m merely trying to be sensible. Frankly there is a lot of peace in this decision. It allows me to concentrate on birthdays, babies, Baptisms, and onb Christmas decorating and food.  More importantly it leaves my mind uncluttered for Christ’s birthday. There is no doubt in my mind that anyone will be upset. HOwever, I will be upset if I don’t have cooperation on the other end - I will accept no gifts from anyone except Paul Pet and Bob.  Please honor my wishes. We have so much more to give each other than things

All my love,

Mom
