Nancy and Sam participated in this event on Sunday. They enjoyed it and did quite well. Kelly and Patrick kibitzed.  I think it was a great fundraising idea don’t you?

Special Announcement

Irish had her autumn beauty treatment yesterday.  She looks and smells beautiful!

Special Plea

I took yesterday off and did quite a bit of shopping but I need suggestions from everyone including sizes.  Please help me out with this! And don’t forget out new arrangements. Married couple with children do not exchange gifts with me.  What I really want for Christmas is your love, prayers and friendship.

Coming Up …

I know it’s not necessary to mention that Dec. 7th is the Feast of the Immaculate Conception (Holy Day of Obligation)

I’ve just returned from visiting Pam and Stephen Crawford’s new baby McKenzie.  She is a doll. Thank God it’s finally stopped raining after two straight weeks of rain.  I had had it. Bob and Patty celebrated their birthdays together her on the 10th.  We had a good time.  Tom, Marguerite and Tommy came too.  Since then Bob has made the basketball team.  So I have another basketball season with AHS and you all know I love that.  Bob’s friends all chipped in and gave him HBO for his birthday. I have mixed emotions.  I don’t particularly want HBO but they’ve already paid for it so I’ve relented. The Sheridan, Hoercher, Paul Dave Pete and Bob will all be here for Thanksgiving.  I’m looking forward to it and hope it’s a nice day for traveling. Maybe I can convince the men to take the children out for some fresh air while the ladies get dinner on the table.  Pete arrives home for Thanksgiving this Friday. He’ll have a full week. Paul is coming on Tuesday and making a long weekend of it. Paul is going to Texas to see his Giants play down there.  Last Saturday Dave, Mary and I went to Ithaca to see a Cornell game. We took lunch and waited in the car hoping the rain would let up. Finally we mugged into the stadium with all our rain hear etc.  It was raining so and was so cold, I bet we lasted all of fifteen minutes and then went to the Pyramid Mall. It was really bad but the tickets had been given to me by a gentlemen who lives at the Nursing Home and he’s such a Cornell enthusiast, I wanted to at least make the effort.  Jack – any luck on selling your car yet? Teresa – how is the insurance for the toy library working out? Mike – did you ever get to see Pete in Potsdam?

To all of you who won’t be here for Thanksgiving, have a lovely day.  We’ll be together in spirit knowing how bless we have been as a family.  I have much to be grateful for . I am especially thankful for each of you – your love and support.

God bless you all,

Mom

PS  I doubt if there will be a Dec edition.
