RR Issue #6 April 1986

THE NEW FLOOR

This picture was taken in February when Bill Hoercher helped David Sheridan replace the floor of Sheridan’s family room after their flood.  It looks great now!

PLEASE EXCUSE ME

There was no March edition of the Ringwood REview because I became very involved in basketball - Auburn High, Big East and NCAA.  Also, my buddy Bob was laid up with his ankle injury. Believe me, I found out how much Bob does for me and how much he does for himself.  I learned the hard way.

SPECIAL NOTICE

All pictures and contributions gratefully accepted for the RR.

STELLA MARIS RETREAT

My Palm Sunday retreat was wonderful.  I met some of the same people who were there the same weekend last year.  It is so peaceful and pleasant. There is an atmosphere that really renews and refreshes.  I came home feeling I could handle just about anything and it was tested very soon when Irish died that night.  Boy I really miss her an awful lot. So does Bob.

EASTER 1986

It was so beautiful Easter Sunday. I can’t remember a more warm or lovely Easter.  Paul, David, Pete, Bob and I spent the day with the Sheridans and Hoerchers. We had a delicious dinner and good conversation.  The children all seemed very good and happy. Emily get along very well with the Sheridan boys and she’ll be seeing more of them because this week Patty is going to start taking care of Emily while Teresa works. The rest of the family celebrated Easter at their own homes.  Mike and Marilyn entertained the Brateks. Tom and Marguerite had the Fannings. Jack went to Oberrights and of course Nancy was in Florida with Aunt Nancy. Incidentally Nancy, Kelly and Patrick look great. I haven’t seen Nancy with souch good color since her lifeguard days.

PETE’S SPRING BREAK

Peter’s spring break ended today.  Bob took him back to Syracuse to catch his ride. I hope he had a good time.  I know I enjoyed having him home. Friday night he and Bob and I went to see “The Money Pit” and Bob and I think think its the only time ever that he and I have been to the movies together.  I know it seems impossible but neither of us can ever remember seeing a movie in a theater together. Last night we say a little bit of “Jeopardy” and there was a question about state capitals. So for the next hour or so we had a quiz on the capitals of all the states.  I know this sounds crazy but it was fun.

LOOKING WAY AHEAD

Ceecy and Jack’s shower and stag party.  Ceecy has picked out china and silver. I’ll try to get the patterns as soon as possible.

JUNE 29th

Bob's graduations from AHS - the last hurrah for the Ringwoods and high school graduations. I hope as many as possible will be there.  We’ll celebrate at 124 after the ceremony. LATE JUNE - the arrival of Tom and Marguerite’s new baby.

God bless you all -

Mom, Joan, Gramma
